Becky and Mike Wrubel were enjoying their winery-tour honeymoon when they discovered Becky was allergic to the sulfites in wine. The challenge of trying to find sulfite-free wine inspired them to convert the front half of their barn to a modern wine production facility in 2012. Years later, The Wrubels are proud to be teaching the fifth generation of their family the art of wine and mead-making without sulfites.

Green Barn Winery is the only winery in St. Clair County and is proud to be a member of the Thumbs Up Wine Trail and the MI Grape Organization. Both are associations dedicated to promoting the wine industry throughout Southeast Michigan.
